The AGM is essential for conducting formal business of the Society. Without it, we are unable to elect your representatives, or carry out essential business such as approving our accounts and appointing auditors. The British Society of Soil Science 77th Annual General Meeting will take place online on Wednesday 5 July from 1:00pm – 1:30pm via GoToWebinar. This will be straight after our Zoom into Soil webinar. If you are planning on attending the meeting, please register here.
Members are asked to vote on the resolutions in advance of the meeting. This will provide equity to all members who have the opportunity to vote, regardless of whether they will be able to attend the meeting.
Members in all individual categories (excluding Corporate Members) are entitled to vote and please submit your responses by Tuesday 27 June at 5:00pm British Summer Time.
The Society Board recommends that members support the following resolutions set out in the meeting agenda and papers:

- To approve the Minutes from the Annual General Meeting held on 2 August 2022
- To receive and approve the Trustees’ Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022
- To approve the appointment of the Accountants, HB Accountants, for the 2023 financial year
- To appoint Dannielle Roche as Early Careers Representative
- To approve amendments to the Society Bye-Laws (download to see tracked changes)
- To elect Bob Jones as an Honorary Member.
