We are excited to announce the British Society of Soil Science’s upcoming Soil Judging event in Nottinghamshire, taking place in 8-10 July 2025. This is the first event of its kind in the Society’s history and is something that is being pioneered by our Early Careers Committee. Soil Judging is a popular phenomenon in other parts of the world so we are delighted to be able to offer this for our members and partners.
This three-day event will empower early-career soil enthusiasts to hone their skills in describing and classifying soil profiles, and it offers a unique chance for you to engage with the next generation of soil scientists, researchers, and professionals. The event will consist of 2 days of training followed by a third day of competition and individual participation to put their training into practice, at the event of which, an overall winner will be announced.
Tickets will be going on sale soon and we look forward to welcoming members and supporters onboard for this inaugural event.
