Joe has recently joined the BSSS team as part of his MIBTP professional internship for PhD students. Joe will be joining us for two days per week and assisting with a number of projects in the build-up to the World Congress of Soil Science.
Joe is undertaking a PhD at Harper Adams University as part of the Midland Integrative Biosciences Partnership (MIBTP). The project aims to provide a systems-level evaluation of conservation agriculture-based crop production systems in comparison to conventional agricultural practice, with a focus on soil science and agricultural economics.
Joe graduated from Warwick University with an MSc with distinction in Sustainable Crop Production and a BSc (hons) in Agriculture with Crop Management from Harper Adams University. He has experience in agricultural research, and livestock and crop production having previously worked several roles within the agricultural industry. He is specifically interested in improving the sustainability of farming systems by improvements to soil management.
